Accessibility

The Palace Theatre and Cohoes Music Hall are accessible for persons with disabilities. The Palace Theatre orchestra level is wheelchair accessible. An accessible restroom is located in the main lobby in each venue. A passenger elevator is available at Cohoes Music Hall, and services all levels of the theatre.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating can only be requested through the Palace Box Office by calling 518-465-4663.

When ordering tickets, please inform the ticket seller of any special requirements you may have so that appropriate seating may be obtained. Please be aware that ushers and Palace staff are not permitted to physically move or lift patrons from a wheelchair to a seat. If a patron can move to a seat from a wheelchair, the wheelchair must be stored by an usher at the rear of the theatre to prevent obstructions in the aisle. The theatre was designed with a steep slope from the midpoint to the rear of the orchestra section. Inform the ticket seller that you may not be comfortable pitched forward if the chair does not compensate for the incline. A select number of locations are available for individuals who may prefer to remain seated in their wheelchair.

Accessible Parking

ACCESSIBLE PARKING is limited in the vicinity of the Palace Theatre. If possible, please try and make plans to have someone drop you off in front of the theatre if you have special needs.
For specific parking inquiries, please call the Box Office at (518) 465-4663.

Assisted Listening Devices

ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES are available for loan in limited number at the Palace Theatre. Upon arrival, please see the House Manager in the main lobby to acquire one. A driver’s license is required as “deposit” for the device until returned. The Cohoes Music Hall does not currently offer assisted listening devices.
