On January 17-19, 2019, the Festival Board of Directors and the City of Albany will host the 10th Anniversary Albany Chefs’ Food & Wine Festival. The 2019 Festival will bring together over 70 Innovative Chefs, 250 Global Wine, Spirit & NYS Craft Beer companies. Festival attendees will savor the finest in culinary offerings, as well as have the opportunity to attend high profile seminars.
“The mission of the annual Food and Wine Festival is to provide sustainable funding for the support and preservation of the not-for-profit Arts community in Albany, NY and to spotlight our vibrant culinary scene”, stated Yono Purnomo, Chairman of the fully volunteer Board of Directors, “In nine years, we have donated $925,000 to various arts organizations in the City of Albany. This year is exceptional as we expect to surpass the $1M mark with the 10th Anniversary.”
Premier Beneficiaries this year are the Albany Barn, Capital Repertory Theatre, the Palace Theatre and Park Playhouse. Spotlight Beneficiaries this year are the Albany Center Gallery, Albany Institute of History & Art, Albany Symphony, Black Dimension in Art, Capitaland Chorus, Capital Cinema, eba Dance, and Steamer 10. Total distribution will be based on the final net proceeds at the conclusion of the 2019 Festival.
