The City Of Albany Launches 2018 Cash For Coats Drive

Palace Theatre Albany, NY – Mayor Kathy Sheehan and program partners announced details for the 2018 Cash for Coats Drive, a community-based initiative designed to collect funds to purchase new winter clothing items for Albany school children in need. Presented by the City of Albany, the Palace Theatre, and Lodge’s Department Store, this year’s Cash for Coats Drive will take place at these special events being held at the Palace Theatre.

Nov 8th – Amy Schumer

Ticketholders are encouraged to make cash donations of any size at the events. Representatives from the City of Albany and the Albany Tulip Queen & Court will be on hand with more information on the program. Ticket information for the events are available at http://www.palacealbany.org/.

Over the years, the Cash for Coats program has distributed tens of thousands of new winter clothing items to Albany schoolchildren. Lodge’s offers a significant discount on any items purchased for the Cash for Coats Drive, maximizing the impact of each cash donation.

The Cash for Coats Drive is sponsored by the Palace Theatre, Lodge’s Department Store, Burke Companies. Additional partners include City School District of Albany, Superintendent Kaweeda G. Adams, Albany Police Athletic League, Albany Parking Authority, Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Central Ave BID and the Downtown Albany BID.
