2021 Cash for Coats Program Raises Over $42,000 for Albany Kids

Cash for Coats partners gathered at Pine Hills Elementary today to distribute new winter items collected through the 2021 Cash for Coats Drive. Cash donations were collected throughout the month of October and early November to benefit the drive, which has distributed tens of thousands of brand new coats, hats, gloves, mittens and scarves to Albany children since 2007. This year over $42,000 was collected for the purchase of over 1,500 coats and more than 3,500 hats/gloves/scarves. The winter items were given out to City School District of Albany children at multiple schools this week.
Cash For Coats Benefit Concert - October 26th at the Palace Theatre

The City of Albany, the Palace Theatre and Cash for Coats program partners announced details for the Cash for Coats Benefit Concert at the Palace Theatre on October 26th. Billboard Triple A Top 40 Artist Jocelyn & Chris will be performing a special set along with special guests Laveda. The concert will be recorded and aired as an upcoming episode of the award winning Palace Sessions video series in collaboration with Mirth Films.

Saturday, August 28 from Noon to 4PM, the area around the Palace Theatre will be filled with music, family friendly activities, vendors, community organizations & more!
Palace Theatre Announces Official Reopening with Free Summer Movie Series for Children

The Palace Theatre’s Summer in the City Movie Series, presented by SEFCU will return to offer seven free, family-friendly movies to children and families from neighborhoods around the Palace in downtown Albany. The movie series provides children with the opportunity to enjoy the excitement and beauty of the historic Palace Theatre, while offering fun, safe and positive opportunities to become engaged in the arts.
Our Art Class & the Palace Theatre Welcome Local Youth for Our Annual Juneteenth Youth Art Exhibition
